I've put together a pdf-guidance that shows you exactly what you need to do to gather all needed LEGO® bricks from independent stores on the world’s biggest online marketplace BrickLink, which is included with each purchase of one of my instructions. Also I recommend to first check what, if any, parts you already have in your LEGO® collection that you can use.
-
You'll find a price estimate on each individual product page based on average BrickLink prices. For orientation LEGO® parts in a new condition cost about 10¢ per piece on average, considering that the cost varies based on the rarity and interest in the part. Please keep in mind prices tend to fluctuate on the brick selling market, which is why I cannot guarantee any price estimates.

All internal parts are listed using each part’s most common color. The idea behind being that the most common color will be the cheapest option on the market, which is for your benefit when making BrickLink orders. Additionally, it helps identifying parts that can be substituted irrespective of color, which sets you free to replace colorful internal parts with ones you might already have in your LEGO® collection. Nevertheless, I precisely avoid the use of colorful pieces at places where they'd be visible from the outside.
-
That is because the cost for LEGO® parts on the brick selling market depends on supply-and-demand and is based on the rarity and interest in the parts. To make my MOCs more affordable I avoid using needlessly rare parts and use each part's most common color for internal structures.
-
Offering bricks myself would result in a much higher cost for you rather than sourcing them on your own, which is why I'm dedicated to equip you with the tools needed for gathering all needed LEGO® bricks yourself.

As much as I would like to, I don't have the time for commissioned work. But feel free to submit your idea for a future LEGO® MOC here or at checkout, and maybe it'll be my next project.

The acronym MOC stands for "my own creation" and refers to fan-made creations made from LEGO® bricks. MOCs are distinguished from official LEGO® sets you can purchase e.g. in retail stores or online. Instead, they're designed by enthusiasts - also known as AFOLs (adult fan of LEGO®) or TFOLs (teen fan of LEGO®). To build a MOC using custom instructions, you'll have to order all parts individually.
